Dad and the children got a puppy from the pet shop.The puppy's name was snow.Look after snow and she will grow into a big dog said the pet shop man.
The pet shop man showed the children a book.Dogs like snow were sled dogs.They helped people carry things over the ice and snow.said the man.The dogs worked very hard.
Long ago there was a sled dog called Balto. He was a very strong dog and he was very brave too.One winter a terrible storm came.The people were sick.They had no medicine.Balto had to carry the medicine in his sled.
Balto and the other dogs pulled the sled.They went over the mountains over the snow and over the ice.They took the medicine to the sick  people.
Dad and the children took snow home.Snow grew into a big dog.One day Dad said snow is going to have puppies.We will take some photographs.The children sat and watched.Soon snow had her puppies.You must look after snow and let snow look after her puppies said Dad.

At first the puppies were very small.They couldn't see and they couldn't hear.Snow fed her puppies and they grew and grew and grew.
The puppies are drinking snows milk.The puppies are playing in the garden.
